Sourav had the privilege of getting bursary support from IUCr to participate in the 19th BCA/CCG Intensive Teaching School on X-Ray Structure Analysis, organized by the Chemical Crystallography Group of the British Crystallographic Association. The event took place at Durham University, United Kingdom from March 25th to April 2nd, 2023. This intensive teaching school was specifically designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical foundations of single crystal X-ray diffraction. The program consisted of a diverse range of activities, including lectures, interactive discussions, hands-on tutorials, and invaluable opportunities for engagement with renowned scientists and educators.
In this school, Sourav was in the team of Mark Warren, an eminent beamline scientist from the Diamond Light Source. As a team, they won the best presentation award for being the most accurate on the theme.
